Return your Defunc product

You can return or exchange your order for whatever reason within 14 days of purchase. Note that Defunc can only handle returns if your product has been purchased from www.defunc.ca. If you did not buy the product from www.defunc.ca, then contact the reseller that sold you the product.

If you receive your product and discover that it does not match the one you ordered or if it is damaged, please contact customer service directly after you received your product.

You have the right to examine the goods you have purchased. But to cancel the purchase your product must be in the so-called essentially unchanged condition and in original product packaging that must be complete. Your product cannot have been used, tested, or worn. It is unfortunately NOT possible to return in-ear headphones once the sealed package has been opened due to personal hygiene reasons.

To avoid damage during transport, only sufficient outer packaging should be used, putting a shipping label on the original box is not such a solution. Transport damage caused by defective packaging is not included in our return policy and will not entitle you for a refund.

Note that SPEAKERS must be returned with courier delivery method (DHL, UPS, FedEx or other similar service) to Defunc assigned return address, speakers sent to a postal agent will NOT be picked up and therefore automatically returned to the sender.

Note that discounted products are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

If the reason you want to return the product is that you think it’s something wrong with the product, please check the suggested solutions and tips provided in our “Having Troubles?” section. There may be nothing wrong with your product and it can be fixed by following helpful tips provided there or get help by contacting customer service on the “Get support” section.

In all cases, you must always contact our customer service on the “Get support” section before returning your order so that you, depending on which country you are in, can get the correct assigned return address for your order. We always appreciate if you inform us the reason you are returning the product. Have your order confirmation on hand to facilitate customer support. You will have to pay for the return shipment cost.

After we received the return and approved it, you will within 30 days receive our refund according to your original payment method.

Warranty

Should you, contrary to expectations, experience defects due to manufacturing faults within our warranty period, under normal use and care, your product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion. 

Defunc can only handle warranty claims if your product has been purchased from an authorized Defunc retailer or distributor. In order to handle a warranty claim, a valid proof of purchase (receipt) is required by Defunc, our retailers and distributors.

Before contacting us making a warranty claim, please first check the suggested solutions and tips provided in our “Having Troubles?” section. There may be nothing wrong with your product and it can be fixed by following helpful tips provided there.

To make a complaint and claim your warranty

Earphones

You need to contact our customer service on the “Get Support” section, if we cannot solve the problem and we think it is a warranty case, will we depending on which country you are in, get the address where to return the product, it is very important that you return the product to the assigned address you are given in order for us to handle your complaint correctly. You will have to pay for the return shipment cost.

Make sure you pack the product in a safe packaging. All contents with brochures and wires need to be included. The product must be returned in its original Defunc packaging in complete and good condition.

If Defunc considers it to be an approved warranty claim, your product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion. 

Note that, if you send a product to Defunc for action and this does not show the errors you have stated or we determine that the problem with your product(s) is not covered by the Defunc Warranty, you will have the option to pay for the repair or that we return the product to you at your own expense.

Speakers

You need to contact our customer service on the “Get Support”, we will try to troubleshoot the speaker, if we cannot solve the problem and we think it is a warranty case, we will email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number that is valid 14 days after issuance. This will include a prepaid returns shipping label. Use the Defunc shipping label you have received and follow the shipping instructions set out on the label to send the products back to Defunc. Retain a copy of the shipping label with the applicable tracking number signed by an agent of the carrier. The fact that we issue an RMA number does not mean that we have approved your repair or a warranty replacement.

Defunc must receive the returned product within 30 calendar days after an RMA number has been issued and the unit returned must match the serial number specified in the RMA. Make sure you pack the product in a safe packaging. All contents with brochures and wires need to be included. Terms of warranty:

  • Is valid only for products purchased from an authorized Defunc retailer or distributor.
  • Is valid from the date of the original purchase for a period of 12 months. 
  • Is limited to the repair or replacement at our discretion (neither of which affects your original warranty). Neither transportation, nor any other costs, nor any risk for removal, transportation and installation of products is covered by this warranty.
  • Will not be applicable in cases other than defects in materials and/or workmanship at the time of purchase and will not be applicable:
    • For normal wear and tear to the products or parts.
    • For deterioration of component parts, the nature of which is to become worn or depleted with use, such as batteries and earbuds.
    • For any interoperability issues with third party products, unless we explicitly specify this intent.
    • For damages caused by incorrect installation or connection.
    • For purposes other than domestic use.
    • For damages caused by any use other than correct use described in the user manual, negligence, modifications, or use of parts that are not made or authorized by Defunc.
    • For damages caused by faulty or unsuitable ancillary equipment.
    • For damages caused by accidents, lightning, water, fire heat, war, public disturbances, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Defunc and its appointed distributors.
    • For products whose serial number has been altered, deleted, removed, or made illegible.
    • If repairs or modifications have been executed by an unauthorized person.
    • If the product is bought second hand or through any auction.
